Roof washing is a simple, yet complex process. It is a simple method of spraying proprietary soap solutions on a low pressure setting to safely remove mildew, stains, streaks, bacteria, algae and other organic buildups on your roof. The complex nature comes from having the right soap mixture to ensure an effective clean, yet safety for the surrounding areas.
Our Process:
Customer Consultation: This is where we talk with the customer to see if they have anty questions about anything. As well as our employees being made aware of any potential trouble areas, or things around the house to pay close attention to.
Prep Equipment: After talking with the home owner, we then begin to prep our equipment to prepare for the roof cleaning. We prepare our soap mixtures, hook up water if needed, and place ladders or any needed equipment. As well as getting on proper protective equipment.
Staging The Home: This is the most important process before we begin. We make sure to take the necessary steps to protect surrounding landscaping from chemicals. Prepping gutter downspouts for runoff. As well as taping off, or bagging any important things that could potentially be damaged by overspray.
Roof Soft Washing Time: After prepping the house, we then begin to spray. Using low pressure and our soap mixture, we cover the entire roof and let the soap do the work.
Let Nature Take Its Course: After the soap is applied, we let it sit and dwell. The surfactant we use helps the soap to stick to the roof for a longer dweel time, which is more time to eat away at the organic material. We do not wash the roof, we let the rain and mother nature slowly rinse the roof over time.
Pack Up & Clean Up: During the roof cleaning process, if needed we move ladders as we go. But in addition, we spray the surrounding landscape with water to ensure no damage is done. We then clean our equipment, water the landscape more. This ensures if any soap was on it, we wash it off and dilute the soap.
